Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 very ripe bananas mashed About 1 1/2 cups mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Loaf pan (9x5 inch)
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas well with a fork.
  3. Stir the melted butter, beaten egg, and vanilla extract into the mashed bananas until combined.
  4. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix with a spatula just until combined. Do not overmix the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before carefully removing it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
