Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet

This recipe makes a skillet chicken dish inspired by Texas Roadhouse butter chicken.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • to taste Salt and cracked black pepper
  • Optional: shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • Optional: caramelized onions for topping

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Melt remaining butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in broth and honey, scraping the pan for flavor bits.
  5. Return chicken and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  6. (Optional) Top with cheese or caramelized onions and cover to melt.
  7. Garnish with parsley. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or vegetables.

Notes

Use thighs for extra juicy results.
Do not skip the simmer; this brings the sauce together.
Make ahead and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
