Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 250 g Chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
For the Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup Water
For the Noodles
  • 200 g Noodles e.g., egg noodles, udon, cooked according to package directions
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup Green onions chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds toasted, for garnish

Equipment

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine the chicken pieces with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  2. In another small bowl, whisk together all the sauce ingredients: minced garlic, 2 tbsp soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, and water. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until cooked through and lightly browned.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the wok with the chicken and sauce. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated and heated through.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

You can add vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas to this dish. Cook them before adding the chicken.
