Method
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned; drain the fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Lower the heat and simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Spread the refried beans into the bottom of your baking dish.
- Spread the taco meat evenly over the layer of refried beans.
- Sprinkle on diced tomatoes, diced jalapenos, and chopped olives.
- Top the mixture with the shredded cheeses.
- Arrange the optional black olive slices over the top of the cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the dip is heated through.
- Serve the dip hot.
Notes
This dip can be assembled ahead of time, but bake it just before serving for the best texture and temperature.
