Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, lemon juice, dried dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the oil and herb mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Place a few thin slices of the remaining lemon on top of each fillet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
- Serve immediately with your choice of low-calorie side dishes, such as steamed vegetables or a side salad.
Notes
For a different flavor, you can substitute the dill with dried thyme or rosemary. If you prefer a crispier top, briefly place the salmon under the broiler for the last minute of cooking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
