- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Place the trimmed asparagus on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with half of the olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. Rub the remaining olive oil over the salmon. Sprinkle both fillets evenly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Top each salmon fillet with a few thin slices of lemon.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The asparagus should be tender-crisp.
- Serve the salmon immediately alongside the roasted asparagus.
Notes
If you prefer a brighter flavor, you can squeeze fresh lemon juice over the finished dish before serving. This recipe scales easily for more servings; just use an extra baking sheet if needed.
