Method
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Place the trimmed asparagus on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper, and toss to coat evenly.
- Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil with the juice from half a lemon, dried dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon the herb mixture evenly over the top of the salmon fillets. Place the lemon slices on top of the fish.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender-crisp.
- Serve immediately directly from the pan or transfer to plates.
Notes
If you prefer a different vegetable, broccoli florets or green beans work well as substitutes for asparagus. Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of your salmon fillets.
