  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil or other high-heat oil
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated or minced
For Garnish (Optional)
  • 1 Green onions sliced
  • 1 Sesame seeds

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Pot

Method

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. While noodles are cooking, whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet with the beef and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet with the beef. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the beef and sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness and saltiness of the sauce to your preference. For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
