- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into small meatballs.
- Brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
- While the meatballs are browning, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Place the browned meatballs in a baking dish. Pour the tomato sauce mixture over the meatballs.
- Spoon the mashed potatoes over the meatballs and sauce, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bake is bubbly.
Notes
You can add cheese on top of the mashed potatoes before baking for extra flavor.
