Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the cooked ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, and sour cream.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can add other toppings like cooked bacon, jalapeños, or a different type of cheese.
