Ingredients

Potatoes
  • 4 lbs Russet potatoes Peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
Seasoning and Liquid
  • 1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted

Equipment

  • Baking dish (9x13 inch)
  • Large bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Place the sliced potatoes in the large bowl.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, water, and the Lipton Onion Soup Mix until combined.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the potatoes and toss gently until all the potato slices are coated evenly.
  5. Transfer the coated potatoes into the prepared baking dish, spreading them into an even layer.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

Notes

You can cover the dish with foil for the first 30 minutes of baking if you prefer softer potatoes, then remove the foil for the remaining time to allow the tops to brown slightly.
