Lavender Sleep Milk

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tsp Dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 tsp Honey or maple syrup optional, to taste

  • Saucepan
  • Strainer
  • Mug

Method
 

  1. Combine milk and lavender buds in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain the milk through a fine-mesh sieve into a mug, discarding the lavender buds.
  5. Stir in honey or maple syrup, if desired.
  6. Drink warm before bedtime.

Notes

Ensure you use culinary-grade lavender. Adjust the amount of lavender to your preference.
