Hot Honey Salmon

Ingredients
  

For the Salmon
  • 4 6-ounce salmon fillets skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Hot Honey Glaze
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes adjust to your spice preference
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic minced

  • Small saucepan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the honey, red pepper flakes, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until well combined and heated through. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Brush the hot honey glaze generously over the salmon fillets.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. You can brush with more glaze during the last few minutes of baking if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can garnish the salmon with fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
