Ingredients

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Panko or regular
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced

Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Small saucepan

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  6. Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it simmers and thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the saucepan with the sauce. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  8. Serve the honey garlic meatballs warm.

Notes

You can garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving for extra flavor and visual appeal.
