Garlic Beef and Rice with Parmesan

Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
For the Rice
  • 1 cup White rice uncooked
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp Butter

  • Medium saucepan

Method
 

  1. Cook the rice: In a medium saucepan, combine the uncooked rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until water is absorbed and rice is tender. Stir in butter and Parmesan cheese.
  2. Cook the beef: While the rice is cooking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the beef. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Serve the garlic beef over the Parmesan rice.

Notes

You can add vegetables like peas or corn to the rice for extra flavor and nutrition.
