Fiery Chicken Ramen

Ingredients
  

For the Broth
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or more, to taste
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger grated
For the Ramen
  • 2 portions ramen noodles fresh or dried
  • 1 cup cooked chicken shredded or sliced
  • 2 large eggs soft-boiled
  • 1/4 cup scallions sliced
  • 1 sheet nori cut into strips

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Small saucepan
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. In a large pot, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. While the broth simmers, cook the ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain well.
  3. Prepare the soft-boiled eggs. Peel and halve them.
  4. Divide the cooked ramen noodles between two bowls.
  5. Ladle the hot broth over the noodles.
  6. Top each bowl with shredded chicken, halved soft-boiled eggs, sliced scallions, and nori strips.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust sriracha for your desired level of heat. You can add other toppings like corn, bamboo shoots, or bean sprouts.
