Easy Taco Rice Bowl

A simple and quick taco rice bowl recipe.

Ingredients
  

For the Taco Rice
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 cups cooked rice
For Serving
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons salsa
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  3. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine with the meat mixture.
  4. Divide the taco rice mixture among four bowls.
  5. Top each bowl with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, salsa, and sour cream.

Notes

Serve immediately. You can add other toppings like avocado or black beans if desired.
