Method
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Place the cubed potatoes in the large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, cream of mushroom soup, milk, cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the potatoes in the mixing bowl. Toss gently until all the potatoes are evenly coated.
- Transfer the coated potatoes into the prepared baking dish, spreading them into an even layer.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork and the top is lightly browned.
Notes
You can add a sprinkle of extra cheese on top during the last 10 minutes of baking for a crispier top layer.
