Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each) Skin on or off is fine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Aluminum foil

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the oil mixture evenly over the top and sides of each salmon fillet.
  5. Place a few thin slices of lemon on top of each fillet.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

You can substitute the dried dill with fresh herbs like parsley or chives if you prefer. For a richer flavor, you can add a thin layer of Dijon mustard under the oil mixture before baking.
