Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cook the sausage over medium heat in a large skillet until it is no longer brown. Break the sausage into bite size pieces as it cooks. Drain the fat.
- Place the thawed hash browns in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish that you have sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
- Sprinkle the sausage over the top of the hash browns. Sprinkle the cheese over the top of the sausage.
- Whisk the eggs with the milk and spices. Pour this mixture over the casserole in the pan. Cover the dish with foil.
- Bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil then continue baking until the center is set, about 20 to 30 minutes more. Serve hot.
Notes
This recipe uses 40 minutes covered plus 20 to 30 minutes uncovered for the total cook time.
