Method
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
- Place the seasoned roast in your crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, melted butter, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and dried thyme.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the beef in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Remove the beef from the crockpot and shred it.
- Return the shredded beef to the crockpot. Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for another 15-30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Notes
Serve the garlic butter beef over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. You can also serve it with vegetables like broccoli or green beans.
