Crockpot Garlic Butter Beef

Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

Method
 

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the seasoned roast in your crockpot.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, melted butter, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and dried thyme.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef in the crockpot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  6. Remove the beef from the crockpot and shred it.
  7. Return the shredded beef to the crockpot. Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  8. Cook for another 15-30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

Notes

Serve the garlic butter beef over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. You can also serve it with vegetables like broccoli or green beans.
