Ingredients

Salmon
  • 4 fillets Salmon fillets (about 6 oz each) Skin on or off
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Honey Garlic Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 3 Tbsp Soy sauce Use low sodium if preferred
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Ground

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This helps achieve a crispier exterior. Rub the fillets lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, and ground ginger to create the glaze.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush about half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the top of the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the salmon.
  6. Return the salmon to the oven and bake for another 3 to 4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is slightly caramelized. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
  7. Serve the salmon immediately with your choice of side dishes.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can briefly place the salmon under the broiler for the last minute of cooking, watching carefully to prevent burning the honey.
