Creamy Matcha Coffee

Ingredients
  

For the Coffee Base
  • 1/2 cup Strong brewed coffee chilled
For the Matcha Cream
  • 1 tsp Matcha powder ceremonial grade recommended
  • 1/4 cup Milk or plant-based alternative
  • 2 tbsp Sweetener e.g., honey, maple syrup, or sugar, adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine the matcha powder, milk, and sweetener. Blend until smooth and the matcha is fully incorporated.
  2. Add the chilled brewed coffee and ice cubes to the blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is creamy and well combined. If it's too thick, add a splash more milk; if too thin, add more ice.
  4. Pour the creamy matcha coffee into a glass.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, you can add a dash of vanilla extract. If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, use a double shot of espresso instead of brewed coffee.
