Method
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
These cowboy mushrooms are delicious served alongside steak, chicken, or as a vegetarian main course with rice or mashed potatoes.
