Cowboy Mushrooms

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Mushrooms sliced
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

These cowboy mushrooms are delicious served alongside steak, chicken, or as a vegetarian main course with rice or mashed potatoes.
