Method
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, combine the cooked chicken, cooked wild rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, milk, chopped onion, chopped celery, and sliced mushrooms. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the crushed butter crackers with the melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the topping is golden brown.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can add other vegetables like peas or carrots if you like. This casserole is best served warm.
