Method
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. If using mayonnaise, spread it on the unbuttered side of one slice.
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
- Layer the cheese, cooked chicken, avocado slices, salt, and pepper on the bread in the pan.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Grill for 4-5 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the pan, slice in half, and serve immediately.
Notes
You can add other toppings like tomato slices or lettuce if desired. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
