Ingredients

For the Steak Tips
  • 1.5 lbs Beef sirloin steak cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning or to taste
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Pat the steak tips dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss the steak tips with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak tips in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned. Remove steak tips from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, whisk in beef broth, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  4. Return the steak tips to the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly and the steak tips are cooked through. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve these steak tips over rice, mashed potatoes, or with your favorite side dish. You can adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
