Ingredients
  

For the Pretzel Crust
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
For the Cream Cheese Filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 container whipped topping (8 ounces)
For the Blackberry Topping
  • 3 ounces berry blue gelatin mix
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 10 ounces frozen blackberries

  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/2 cup sugar. Press mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Bake the crust for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  5. In a saucepan, dissolve the berry blue gelatin mix in the boiling water. Stir in the frozen blackberries. Let it cool slightly.
  6. Carefully pour the blackberry mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

You can substitute other berries for the blackberries if desired. Ensure the cream cheese mixture is smooth to avoid lumps.
