- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Stir in the melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For extra fluffy pancakes, be careful not to overmix the batter. You can also add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the wet ingredients for added flavor.
