Apple Pie with Cinnamon Tortilla

Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
For the Pie
  • 4 flour tortillas medium size
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  3. Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface.
  4. Divide the apple mixture evenly among the center of each tortilla.
  5. Fold the sides of each tortilla over the filling, then roll them up from the bottom, similar to a burrito.
  6. Place the rolled tortillas seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the tortillas with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm. You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
