Ingredients
  

For the French Toast
  • 1 slice Bread whole wheat or brioche recommended
  • 1 scoop Whey protein powder vanilla or unflavored
  • 1/4 cup Milk any kind
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Sweetener optional, to taste
For Cooking
  • 1 tsp Butter or oil

Method
 

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, protein powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sweetener (if using) until well combined and smooth. Ensure there are no clumps of protein powder.
  2. Dip the slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides. Let it soak for about 30 seconds per side.
  3. Heat the butter or oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Carefully place the soaked bread into the hot pan. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Consider adding berries, sugar-free syrup, or a dollop of Greek yogurt for extra flavor and nutrients.
